Imbolc, also known as Groundhog's Day, Candlemas, or the Feast of Lights, marks the midpoint in the dark half of the year on February 2nd; now is the time to celebrate the power that will summon Springtime.

According to Gaelic folklore, this is the day when the hag goddess gathers her firewood for the rest of winter - sunny weather means she is gathering lots of fuel for the remainder of the long winter, whereas foul weather is seen as a welcome sign of an early spring! Celebrate this festival with hearth fires, bonfires, candlelight and purification rites.
