The Full 'Moon When All Things Ripen' (Dakotah Sioux) brings us the third eclipse of this summer on Wednesday the 5th.

Like the eclipse on July 7th, this is a shallow penumbral one, invisible to the naked eye - the increased gravitational pull created by the precise alignment of the Sun, Moon and Earth, however, will galvanize cosmic forces, and amplify the emotional angst and ecstasy of the season.

The Perseids Meteor Shower climaxes on the 12th and 13th; expect a little competition from the waning half Moon's light and catch the best view in the early part of the night.

Last but not least, plan a Moondance under the extra big and bright Leo New Moon on the 20th - the fourth of five SuperMoons this year, when it is closest to Earth.
