Presentation: Feathered fashions: timing of moult and migration in sandpipers. Join Samantha Franks, an M.Sc. candidate from Simon Fraser University for a presentation about how the condition of migratory shorebirds affects their moulting and migration timing. Shorebirds have a lot of decisions to make on their long journeys!

"More than Just Mud!" Join Raincoast Education Society and Tofino Botanical Gardens naturalists for an overview of the natural history of Clayoquot Sound, with a special focus on the Tofino Mudflats, a largely undiscovered jewel, nestled between ancient rainforest and rich ocean waters. This guided walk will last about 90 minutes then leave you to bird watch or explore the forest and mudflats on your own.
