Jan Janzen

Jan Janzen has been living in Tofino for nearly 20 years now. His life has been diverse and creative, making art with wood, words and ink. He is most noted for his driftwood buildings such as the one scattered throughout the Botanical Gardens.Many of his most stunning creations are hidden deep in the forest, where people have had him build them innovative living structures, dwellings that blend naturally into their environment.
Dreams have been an aspect of the self that Jan has been most interested. Much of his writing has focused on this cerebral world of hidden mystery within.
