SoBo wins Award!

This year culinary writer, Amy Rosen of enRoute magazine traveled this country judging 42 new restaurants. These contenders were nominated to compete for the honour of being one of the top 10 new restaurants in Canada. The awards are considered highly within the industry, and not just for the million readers that they reach.

Artie and Lisa Aiher, and their much loved sobo truck received considerable attention this year coming in. They were very surprised at first, being as the enRoute magazine called 'a lunch truck in the wild' and not a traditional resaurant.

We too were very surprised to hear the news, not for any lack of belief in the beauty of their food but because of some of the listed criteria of judgement. According to the press release all competitors were evaluated on their 'restrooms, staff uniforms and even mascots'. Well seeing that sobo has neither of the first two it must have been their son Barclay as the mascot that helped to clinch the top placement.

Way to go guys! Congratulations.
