Tofino's Public Market
Tofino Parks & Recreation, Fall 2007
Tofino’s Public Market is scheduled to happen weekly into September. The market will take place on the Village Green on Saturdays between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.Tofino’s market goes by the “Make it, Bake it, Grow it, Gather it” principle. This means no flea market or commercial merchandise will be permitted.
Vendor application packages are available at the District Office at 121 Third Street.
Where?
Tofino’s Public Market operates on Tofino’s Village Green, directly across from Tofino’s Municipal Hall, at the corner of Third Street and Campbell Street.
When?
2007 is the Market’s fifth year of operation. The market runs every Saturday, throught until Oct. 6 and will continue into early to mid September. Hours are from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Vendor Categories
Please note that absolutely no flea market or commercial merchandise will be permitted.
Market Gardeners, Home Bakers, Wild Food Harvesters…
Anyone selling produce grown, processed, or harvested in their garden, home or from the wild on the West Coast must meet health regulation standards for home produce. Guidelines and applications are available at Tofino’s District Office, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Organic & BC Grown produce is welcomed and encouraged.
Artisans
Artisans are considered to be anyone selling their own handmade art or craft.
Non-profit Groups
Space may be made available to non-profits on a first come basis.
