Environmental activist and pioneer, Rachel Carson, is celebrated in this beautiful film based on her work. Her words are brought to life by Hawaiian actress Kaiulani Lee, who has been performing as Rachel Carson for many years in live venues. Filmed in part at Rachel's summer home, you will believe that you are seeing and hearing the great visionary yourself.

Tzeporah Berman, co-founder and program director of ForestEthics here in BC, describes its mission of protecting endangered forests and wild places, wildlife and human well-being, with a major emphasis on climate change. ForestEthics also focuses on industries that use products from wild places and has transformed the environmental practices of many of them.

Academy Award winner Sean Penn traces the last eight years in the life of Harvey Milk, the ill-fated politician and gay activist whose life changed history, and whose courage still inspires people. When Milk was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1977, he made history for being the first openly gay man in American history to be voted into public office. He fought for everyone from union workers to senior citizens, a true hero of human rights who possessed nothing but compassion for his fellow man. Nominated for 8 Oscars... and has won over 22 awards worldwide already.
