Tofino fashion: Mer Made in Tofino

Since the age of 10 Sylvie Brousseau has been fascinated with the designing of clothes.

She first started by sketching her designs on paper and then taught herself to sew in order to bring her creations to life. It was this creative eye for fashion that has fueled Sylvie’s passion and driven Mer Made into reality.

Sylvie derives much of her inspirations from the elements that surround us: “Mer is a French word meaning sea. I, like many others, am constantly gaining energy, strength and inspiration from the ocean.”
