Buddha, a Taurean guru, identifies the four cornerstones of the "brahma-viharas", or heavenly abode, as being the qualities of love, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity. Love asks you not to throw anyone out of your heart.

Compassion is the crown of all true wisdom. Sympathetic joy allows you to bless and thereby share in the good fortune of others, and equanimity is the source of the only true power, the one that comes from within. Why put off Heaven for another place, another time?

As the final days of winter draw to a close, lay these foundational stones for the brand new beginning that the Spring promises.
