Tofino artist Jordy Hamilton

Originally from Southern Ontario, Jordy has been making marks on paper for as long as he can remember. He recently graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He is currently working along side Stefan Aftanas, Tofino's local surfboard designer, doing graphic design work and creating images to be painted on surfboards.

Jordy's main interest is painting but he has spent a lot of time focusing on photography, print making and the creation of interactive installations in different locations. He thrives off the dialogue about life that happens so effectively through all forms of art.

Jordy is doing his best to live a quiet healthy life, surfing lots, and putting the majority or his focus into his artistic practices. His most recent paintings have been large scale works made on different types of patterned linen. They all stem from curious images found within the pages of National Geographic.
