Favourite event of 2007

Seems that every year your favourite event is the very indulgent Clayoquot Oyster Festival. After that the Martini Migration and Lantern Festival were favourites.

Favourite activity done while skipping work

We are an active outdoor community when it comes to skipping work. Most of us seem to head out surfing or chill at the beach or one of many outdoor activities.

Favourite spot to watch the sunset

Head'n out to Chestermans is the thing to do for sunset watchers. Or a leisurely walk down to the First Street Dock.

Favourite place for a drink

When you get that feeling in the back of your throat that only a delightful cocktail will cure we seem to head to the Upstairs for a bevy or over to Sobo for one of their infamous margaritas.

Favourite escape

Head'n out on the water, either on the ocean blue or Kennedy lake is your escape of choice. Otherwise we tend to head out of town for some big city excitement.

Favourite place to be at 4:20

When it's time to smoke one you either head to the beach or get somewhere comfy like the couch or bed.

Favourite spot for people watching

People are funny! Our favourite places to sit back and watch the show are at First & Campbell, the Common Loaf and at the Legion during concerts.

Favourite sporting activity

The ocean is the center of our lives here so our favourite sports were surfing and fishing. Not a bad lifestyle Tofino.

Favourite place to relax

When it came to truly unwinding we either hid ourselves in our homes or hit the beach.

Favourite spa experience

The Ancient Cedar Spa at the Wickaninnish Inn was your favourite place for some spa goodness. Therese Bouchard's beach side glass sanctuary was your second.

Favourite place to get in the water

When it came time for a dip, you tended to head to MacKenzie beach or Kennedy Lake.

Favourite place for coffee

For that morning cup of Joe it was the Common Loaf as your favourite in town and The Tofitian for those at the beach.

Favourite place for breakfast

They say it's the most important meal of the day and you say that you like to have it at the Common Loaf or Schooner.

Favourite place for lunch

Once again Tofino spoke with nearly one voice when it comes to lunch, Sobo, Sobo, Sobo as your favourite. The second choice was the Weigh West Pub.

Favourite place for dinner

Candle light, a bottle of wine and Sobo was your first choice. Schooner was a close second.

Favourite place for dessert

There is a definite trend going here as your first choice for dessert was Sobo and second Sweet T's for a little something special to go.

Favourite wine list

Tofino's favourite spots for choosing a bottle was a 3 way tie between Sobo, Upstairs and the Pointe Restaurant.

Favourite place for food on the go

For a quick snack on the run, Sobo was your first choice with Breakers as a very close second.

Favourite accommodation

When it came to recommending a place to stay while in our area Middle Beach Lodge was the strong choice with Pacific Sands as your second to recommend.

Favourite charter company

Ocean Outfitters was voted as your favourite with Browning Pass as a strong second place.

Favourite surf company

For the surfing experience your favourites were Pacific Surf School and Surf Sister.

Favourite gallery

The always interesting Lounge Collection was your first choice with the serene setting of the Eagle Aerie Gallery of Roy Henry Vickers as your second.

Favourite boutique

For a little shopping and retail therapy your first was the Upstairs Boutique and the Lounge Collection as the next favourite.

Favourite new business 2007

Congratulations to all the new businesses of 2007. Your favourite new business of the year was Ocean Kids and then the new Trilogy Cafe.
