Slow Food in Tofino

In response to the effects of fast food living on quality of life and good food the Italian born Slow Food movement emerged in the late 1980’s. With a mandate for conviviality, and the enjoyment of good food with good friends and family Slow Food has attracted an international following with over 70,000 members world wide, celebrated international food festivals, and the prestigious Slow Food Magazine. Labeled eco-gastronomy for its passion and commitment to artisanal and local food production, Slow Food celebrates the joys of the table.
